Hyderabad: Hyderabad City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar on Wednesday issued an advisory in view of the upcoming GHMC elections and noted that no rallies would be permitted in the GHMC limitsHyderabad, Hyderabad News, Hyderabad Today News, Telangana, Telangana News without permission from police department.

All licensed weapon holders have to deposit their weapons with the police station or authorized arms dealer on or before November 19. Those who are employed on guard duty on the premises of nationalized banks, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and security personnel in the city, are exempted from depositing the weapons. Apart from it if anyone is found to be holding any weapons, penal action will be initiated against them and their weapons will be confiscated, he said.

Meanwhile, the CP rewarded 48 police officers from the Commissionerate for their performance in 2019. The rewards were issued by the DGP of Telangana. The rewards were decided according to key performance indicators (KPI) for every functional vertical which translates into better delivery of services to the public.
