Hydernagar: Local corporator Janakirama Raju on Monday distributed jute bags and planted saplings near Jalvayuvihar Colony community hall here to mark the 66th birthday celebrations of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. He cut a cake and celebrated the day on a grand scale. Raju also planted the saplings in Gandhi Vanam.

Addressing the gathering, he stated that plantation/distribution of saplings, as part of the birthday celebrations, was in response to the call given by Minister and party working president K Taraka Rama Rao.

He remarked that jute bags were distributed in the division to give effect to plastic ban and protect the environment, while calling upon people to strive for ushering in plastic-free society. Among those present during the celebrations were TRS division leaders members of ward, area/basti committees, activists and KCR admirers.
