Uppal: Telangana Hotels Association conducted a meeting at Medipally on Monday and resolved that online food services would be withdrawn from Tuesday. The representatives of the association said, "Hotels are facing a huge loss because of online food services like Zomato, Swiggy, Uber Eats etc. They are not consulting the hotel managements and giving discounts to customers.

They are showing reasons such as late payments, bad delivery and lack of communication and are making cuts in the payments to us." They further said, "They should maintain same commission to every hotel in the city.

We held discussions with the service owners, but we didn't get any response from them. If we don't get any response even after the withdrawal of services in LB Nagar zone, all hotel managements in Hyderabad will join and start protests.

"Being the delivery partners of Zomato, we lost our source of income. We need to leave the area which we are habituated to, and have to find another area," rued Praveen, a Zomato delivery partner.

"It is shocking if online food services are banned as we have got used to their services on regular basis. I think they should find a solution and continue the services as usual in the zone," says Hanish, a resident in Vansathalipuram.

"I am totally dependent on online food services as I work in the nearby area. The point which is confusing is why it is only problem for LB Nagar area hotel managements," says Upendra, an employee in HDFC.
