Heavy rains at isolated places in Siddipet district
As the Southwest Monsoon continues to be normal over Telangana, heavy rains occurred at isolated places in Siddipet district during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Tuesday, according to the Met department bulletin. It said rain occurred at a few places in Rangareddy, Sangareddy, Medak and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts.
Siddipet: As the Southwest Monsoon continues to be normal over Telangana, heavy rains occurred at isolated places in Siddipet district during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Tuesday, according to the Met department bulletin. It said rain occurred at a few places in Rangareddy, Sangareddy, Medak and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts.
The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) were: Kondapak (Siddipet district) 7, Golkonda (Hyderabad) 4, Jagadevpur (Siddipet), Shadnagar (Ranga Reddy), Raikode (Sangareddy) 3 each, Gajwel (Siddipet), Regode (Medak), Wargal (Siddipet), Shamirpet (Medchal-Malkajgiri), Narayankhed (Sangareddy), Medak 2 each.
There was one cm rain each in Chevella, Sangareddy, Parigi, Nangnoor, Nawabpet, Kondapur, Saroornagar, Narsapur and Hathanoor.
The bulletin warned of heavy rain very likely to occur at isolated places in Telangana on June 26, as the upper air cyclonic circulation over coastal Karnataka and its neighbourhood now lies over East-central Arabian Sea and adjoining south Maharashtra.
An upper air cyclonic circulation above the mean sea level lies over southwest Bay of Bengal off the Tamil Nadu coast. A low-pressure area is likely to form over north Bay and its neighbourhood around
June 30.
According to the forecast, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in the State from June 26 to 29. No large change during the period June 30-July 2 is the weather outlook.
