Harvard University does case study on TSWREIS
Dr Praveen Kumar, Secretary of Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS), has stated that Harvard University of the USA has done a case study on “How Telangana Social Welfare Residential Schools are Disrupting the Status quo in Education Sector in India.”
Hyderabad: Dr Praveen Kumar, Secretary of Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS), has stated that Harvard University of the USA has done a case study on "How Telangana Social Welfare Residential Schools are Disrupting the Status quo in Education Sector in India."
He said the students and the faculty of International Educational Policy Course run by Prof Fernando Reimers of Harvard Graduate School of Education, USA, chose TSWREIS as a case study to critically analyse the efforts and policies of the Telangana government in providing quality and equitable education to the marginalised students in the infant State.
The great news was informed by the Course Administrator of International Education Policy of Harvard Graduate School of Education by mail to the TSWREIS Secretary a couple of days ago, Dr Praveen Kumar said, adding that perhaps this is the first time that any such intervention in education for the marginalised being noticed by the world renowned Harvard University. The students and the faculty of the Education School of Harvard University would analyse challenges in professional development of teachers and school leaders against the background of acquisition of 21st century skills by the students.
Thanking Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao and Welfare Minister Koppula Eshwar for their unwavering support to the residential education under the KG-PG Mission in Telangana, Dr Praveen Kumar said the teachers and students of social welfare residential institutions worked day and night with utmost dedication to catapult the TSWREI society to the global map within six years. He also said the TSWREIS carved a niche for itself by its seamless experimentation and syncing with the emerging trends in the global education space.
