Khairatabad: On the occasion of the first anniversary of Hare Krishna Golden Temple (Swayambhu Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Kshetram), located in Banjara Hills, the Hare Krishna Movement-Hyderabad will hold the 1st Brahmostavam celebrations from May 9 to 13.
Elaborate vedic rituals, including grand Sudarshana Narasimha homas, pallaki processions, maha abhishekams, Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Kalyanam are part of the festivities. The celebrations conclude with a grand Radha Govinda abhishekam, purnahuthi and maha samprokshana.
Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Prabhuji, president of Hare Krishna Movement, Hyderabad, and regional president of Akshaya Patra Foundation urged devotees to come and experience the Vaikunta atmosphere of the temple personally and participate in the ceremonies and rituals and receive the blessings of the Lord.
The principal deities were installed in the Golden temple on May 9 and hence it was decided to conduct the first Brahmotsavams from the same date. Prabhuji informed that all arrangements are being taken to ensure devotees have no trouble for free darshans and to participate in the programmes despite the hot summer temperatures.
He said that Kalyanotsavam on May 11 evening (7.00 pm to 8.30 pm) and Dwaja Avarohanam on May 12 evening (8.30 pm to 9.30 pm) are expected to draw huge crowds.
Within a few days after Brahmotsavam festivities, Hare Krishna Hyderabad is organising Narasimha Chaturdashi from May 17 to 19 at the same temple. Narasimha Homa will be performed every day during this period, along with various key rituals.
