There are over 4.5 lakh IT employees in the city and so far, a software employee working at Bengaluru firm detected positive for the virus. After another techie working at DSM company at Raheja Mindspace detected positive for the virus, the company shut down its operations.

However, the principal secretary Jayesh Ranjan (IT and Industries department) asked the IT firms to stay calm and announced that Cyberabad police commissioner VC Sajjanar will be the nodal officer for the firms and asked to contact him before taking any step.

According to the Raheja Mindspace CEO G Shravan, nine companies work at building 20. Out of nine, five companies suspended duties and asked the employees to work from home. While the employees of the remaining four companies in the building 20 were asked to avoid the use of elevators and prefer to work from home.
