Amberpet: Despite the stink raised by piled up garbage at Patelnagar Crossroads in Amberpet constituency, the GHMC officials are preferring to look the other way even as the TRS government is campaigning aggressively for Saaf Hyderabad, Shandaar Hyderabad.

This neglect is all the more surprising since the local corporator resides close by to the piled-up garbage. Residents and passers-by throw garbage on the road due to lack of a spot in Patelnagar. Passers-by who are forced to cover their faces because of the foul smell are shocked that the corporator is also neglecting the garbage, which is resulting in mushrooming of mosquitoes which cause diseases like dengue.

Local residents are questioning the GHMC officials and people's representatives as to why they are turning a blind eye to the piled-up garbage even though thousands of people are daily going to hospitals to get cure for viral fevers. They are expressing anguish that the area is always neglected. The residents have appealed to the corporator and GHMC officials to take special care to ensure that garbage was regularly cleared.
