Tarnaka: Commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, BJP activists undertook 'Gandhi Sankalp Yatra', a padayatra promoting Gandhian principles and Swachh Bharath initiative, in Tarnaka division on Wednesday. Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy participated in the yatra.

Speaking on the occasion, Kishan Reddy said that the yatra was being taken out in response to the call given by the PM Narendra Modi to commemorate 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

As part of yatra, local public representatives, MPs and MLAs would undertake padayatra for 150 km in every Loksabha constituency and would promote Gandhi's message to people, he said.

The yatra would also create awareness of plastic free nation, he said. BJP leaders Bandapalli Satish, Sarangapani, Venkatesh Goud, large number of BJP activists and others participated in the yatra.
