Basheerbagh: City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar on Wednesday handed over the insurance documents to the families of deceased home guard and said that the work completed within the 3 months period.

Insurance cheques were distributed to family members of K Sujatha, the woman home guard who met with a fatal accident on February 4 and died on the spot. Daughter of Sujatha, Bhuvaneshwari become beneficiary for the government scheme under which she was paid with an amount of Rs 5 lakh, through online transfer on May 30.

Rs 5 lakh insurance amount is also paid to the A Raja Reddy, son of late Narayana Reddy, home guard, who died in an accident in Banjara Hills limits on April 24. The amount was transferred online on July 2.

The insurance of Rs 5 lakh also paid to Malika Begum, wife of late Mohammed Salahuddin, home guard who died in an accident on July 29 in Munipally police station limits in Medak district. The amount transferred to her through online transfer via RTGS on April 6.

Under the Social Security Scheme introduced by the State government, the transport and non-transport auto drivers, home guards, working journalists of the Telangana State get a paid coverage of Rs.5 lakh in the event of accidental death. The insurance amount is transferred to the legal heir of the deceased person.
