Electoral verification exercise reviewed

Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner Lokesh Kumar and Telangana Joint Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Ravi Kiran held a review meeting on Electoral Verification Programme and Demographically Similar Entries of voter names at the GHMC head office on Tuesday.

While reviewing, the Commissioner instructed the EROs of all Assembly segments of GHMC to speed up the EVP and DSE works and to be completed within a week.

While verifying the form-7 for deletions of similar entries, outmost care should be taken and officials must strictly the procedure laid down, maintain files for each deletion.

There should be no deletions without recorded statement. If required, the civic body would depute additional staff and complete the work within stipulated period further he added. All DMCs, EROs, AEROs of all circles and senior officials from elections department attended the meeting.
