Secunderabad: Overflowing drain and stagnant sewage water on the lanes have been a constant source of problems for the locals of Laxmi Nagar, West Marredpally. "Residents state that they are facing this problem for the past two months and despite repeated complaints to the officials concerned, no action has been taken," T Kumar, a resident.
He also said as the area is a bit lower, so the stagnated water gets collected up to one foot in front of the road. T Satish Gupta, president of Secunderabad Welfare Association, said the main reason of the sewage overflow is due to damaged pipeline and whenever we complain to the authorities about this issue, they come and clean the water. After some time, the situation turns the same. For the past one year, we have been facing this problem and now we want a permanent solution. The authority concerned must take up this perennial problem and chalk out a plan to improve the drainage system in this area."
