Basheerabad: A crumbling home in the Korviched village in the mandal has become a topic of 'concern' to the people. The story of the building could not have attracted any attention and ended in rubble, but not for the district administration which pitched for demolition of dilapidated structure in the village. Abandoned for quite a long time, the house is in the main street, making every passerby to move cautiously for many reasons.
Walls of the old house developed cracks and bushes, and trees have grown to full size. People who lived in the house left long back and it sat abandoned from then. Neighbours of the old building have been living in the grip of tension, fearing it may collapse at any time. Snakes, scorpions, centipedes etc., are coming from the old construction.
Now, villages have a reason to solve the issue. Officials announced that all the dilapidated constructions must be demolished as part of 30-day special action plan programme.
Kurava Narsappa, the former sarpanch of the village, said they requested officials to pull down the building after informing the house owner. The in-charge MPDO Umadevi also said the old building would be demolished as it stands dangerous to the people living around.
Apart from this, the appearance of the house has a scenic beauty. The house was constructed in local style. Walls and roof are built with locally available granite stones. The creepers spread on this construction give a horror look. And, the structure is going to disappear soon.
