Corporator Ragam Nager Yadav vows more amenities at primary health centre
Local corporator Ragam Nager Yadav on Friday held out an assurance to strive for developing the primary health centre in the division. He was speaking after chairing the PHC development committee comprising representatives of all parties.

Initially, Yadav sought to know the services being rendered by the centre. He suggested that the PHC set up an urban unit in Papireddynagar for providing treatment facilities and establish a basti dawakhana at Surabhi Colony community hall.
Then, the committee members took to Yadav's notice that sanitation was lacking on the PHC premises. They pointed out that there was no security during night and sought police patrolling in the area, besides lighting. The meeting resolved to solve the sanitation problem to have flooring in PHC and arrange lighting facilities. Yadav announced that rakes would be provided for storing medicines.
The corporator said he would bear the cost of installing CC camera in PHC. He telephoned Chandanagar CI Ravinder Yadav to arrange night patrolling vehicle. He announced local MLA Arekapudi Gandhi would inaugurate the PHC's new operation theatre on November 12. He advised the staff to make suitable arrangements.
The meeting also resolved to set up basti dawakanas in Surabhi Colony and Taranagar and to appoint three new members to the committee. Following complaints against staff nurse, Deputy DMHO Srujana announced her transfer. She said the PHC supervisors should go to areas at 9 am and send Whatsapp pictures to Dr Ram Reddy.
After the meeting the corporator, along with srujana, biodiversity officials and committee members inspected the PHC. He announced to provide a greenery park with proper seating for the benefit of patients' relatives and improvements like parking and drinking water supply.
Among those present at the meeting were committee members MR Krishna, Rajini, Dr Ram Reddy, CHO Swamy, former councilor Durgam Veeresham Goud, K Srinivas Mudiraj, urban biodiversity manager Hema, supervisor Gopal, senior assistant Rajesh Babu, pharmacist Varaprasad, Srinivas, Rajasekhar and Ravinder Reddy.
