CM Revanth Reddy urges govt employees to ensure welfare schemes delivered grassroots

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has urged government employees to ensure welfare schemes reach poor people, saying officials are vital to delivering the government’s programmes at grassroots level.

During a visit to Karimnagar on Wednesday, Reddy inaugurated the new Collectorate complex, unveiled a statue of Telangana Talli outside the building and laid foundation stones for development projects.

Addressing employees, he said they represented the Congress government and played a major role in shaping its public reputation. The government had initiated works worth ₹944 crore for employee welfare, he said, adding that staff concerns were being addressed and outstanding grievances would also be resolved.

Reddy called on employees to work diligently and treat people seeking help as members of their own families. Poor residents approaching officials with grievances should receive prompt solutions, he said.

The Chief Minister said the government could progress only with everyone’s cooperation. Welfare programmes, he added, were being implemented through coordination between the Central and State governments.

While development projects could become politicised during elections, the two governments should maintain mutual cooperation and coordination outside election periods, Reddy said.
