Chided by husband for being overweight, woman ends life in Hyderabad

Chided by her husband for putting on weight, a woman hanged herself from the ceiling here at Dundigal on Wednesday.

The woman is said to have been harassed by her husband which eventually led her into depression.

According to the police, the victim got married to Shiva Kumar, a police constable and the couple had two children. The woman's family members said that her husband was harassing her for putting on weight in recent times. Unable to take it anymore, the woman hanged herself from the ceiling at her home.

The Dundigal police registered a case and took up the investigation. The body was shifted to a hospital for autopsy.
