Speaking to media on Thursday, she said the overflowing drainage was spreading over a kilometer causing hardships to residents and commuters.
"The residents are falling sick because of the foul smell emanating from the drainage. Mosquito breeding has been multiplying and people are afraid of falling prey to mosquito menace," she added. She urged officials concerned to come to their aid and solve the drainage issue at the earliest.
