Hyderabad: Telangana State BJP chief N Ramachander Rao on Friday demanded that former Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and current Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy publicly disclose their individual and family assets held before entering power versus their present worth. Addressing media in New Delhi, Ramachander Rao stated this disclosure is essential to clear growing public apprehensions regarding illegally amassed wealth, following mutual allegations of land grabbing traded between BRS and Congress parties. He noted Chief Minister Revanth Reddy alleged in the Assembly that KCR looted Nizam era wealth and seized 500 acres of valuable public lands, while BRS leaders accused Congress of executing massive land scams by usurping private properties using Section 22A prohibitions as a pretext.
Demanding a comprehensive probe into allegations made on the Assembly floor, Ramachander Rao insisted that investigations must not remain limited to the 500-acre scam under BRS rule but must cover Section 22A land grabs under Congress rule. Strongly condemning both parties for praising Nizam rule, the BJP chief criticized KCR for historically calling Nizam a good administrator, while slamming Revanth Reddy for recent Assembly remarks describing Nizam as a great ruler. He reminded that Nizam unleashed violent atrocities across Telangana before Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel launched Operation Polo.
Ramachander Rao remarked that just as Nizam pursued extreme personal wealth, successive BRS and Congress administrations indiscriminately looted public funds and lands to enrich themselves, prioritizing family welfare over public well-being. Warning both parties, he asserted that if current rulers fail to conduct an honest probe, BJP will order a comprehensive investigation into land corruption under past and present governments immediately upon assuming power, ensuring all culprits are brought to justice.
