Speaking to media on the occasion, Gyanendra Prasad said the BJP victory in the Parliament elections proved that the democracy had won again. He said that the PM Modi derived his power from people and no force could stop his victory.
BJP registered a tremendous victory despite the onslaught from the most seasoned politicians such as Chandrababu Naidu, Mamata Benerjee and Akhilesh Yadav. Gyanendra Prasad said that BJP had come back to power due its corruption-free rule and welfare-oriented governance.
He expressed happiness over the strengthening of the party in Telangana state where it won four MP seats. He expressed his confidence that the party would further strengthen in the coming years and win GHMC and other elections in the state.
The defeat of the CM's daughter demonstrated the voters' anger towards KCR, he said. Voters taught a good lesson to him, he added. On the occasion, he congratulated all the BJP MPs who won and YS Jagan for his landslide victory in AP.
BJP leaders Ravi Goud, Koteshwar Rao, Manohar, Rakesh Dubey, Shobha, Prithvi, Shiva, Ramakrishna, Sridhar and others also participated in the victory celebrations.
