Bad roads trouble commuters

Chandanagar: The pitiable condition of roads in Chandanagar has robbed the sheen of festival in the residential area. Pedestrians and commuters are forced to travel on the roads, resembling dust bowls, due to sheer negligence of the contracting agency executing the road works. The delay in recarpeting the roads has worsened the plight of residents.

Rakesh, a commuter sharing his backbreaking experience, said, "Many commutes avoid this stretch as it is most dreadful and backbreaking journey. But this is the shortest route to reach the main road which saves time. The road authorities should look into this and resolve this issue."
