Auto drivers demand liquor prohibition

Auto drivers led by Telangana Auto Drivers Joint Action Committee convener Amanulla Khan demanded that the State government implement complete liquor prohibition as it was the prime reason for many accidents in the State.
Dharna Chowk: Auto drivers led by Telangana Auto Drivers Joint Action Committee convener Amanulla Khan demanded that the State government implement complete liquor prohibition as it was the prime reason for many accidents in the State. Amanulla Khan was speaking at a protest demanding complete liquor prohibition organised on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti here on Wednesday.
Khan demanded that the State government provide financial assistance to auto drivers who become disabled after road accidents. He warned the State government that he would sit on indefinite hunger strike if the liquor was not prohibited in the State.
Auto union leaders Lakshmi Narsaiah, MA Saleem, Maruthi Rao, Mohammad Rafiq, MA Qadeer, Majid Asmi, Mohammad Dastagiri, MA Rajak, Mohammad Ibrahim, Azeemuddin, Chari, Narsimha and others participated in the protest.
