Chittoor: District Collector Sumit Kumar inspected the arrangements for Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s two-day visit to Kuppam Assembly constituency on September 21 and 22. The inspection was carried out on Wednesday along with Kuppam Area Development Authority (KADA) PD Vikas Marmat.

The Collector inspected Thumsi helipad site and reviewed the locations identified for various programmes during the Chief Minister’s visit. He also inspected the proposed sites for RDO and DSP offices at Kothapeta in Kuppam, the venue for the Chief Minister’s public meeting and the proposed site for a Rythu Bazaar near Raju Colony Circle on the Kuppam bypass road.

Later, the Collector held a teleconference with officials concerned and reviewed the preparations for the visit. He directed the departments to prepare lists of beneficiaries who would interact with the Chief Minister during the programme.

He asked officials to identify beneficiaries who had received benefits through skill development programmes, HNSS, Sanjeevani and various welfare schemes. Beneficiaries from agriculture and allied sectors and women entrepreneurs should also be identified and kept ready, he said.

The Collector said a public meeting would be held as part of the Chief Minister’s visit and directed officials to perform their assigned duties carefully from Friday. Officials were asked to complete arrangements for the helipad, stages, roads and guest houses within the stipulated time and maintain quality in all works.

He also directed all departments to coordinate on security, traffic management, drinking water supply, sanitation, electricity, medical services, parking and other basic facilities required for the public. Kuppam ASP Hemanth Boddu, Dr Suresh Babu, Chief Minister’s Personal Secretary Srikanth, RDO Mohammed Hussain, Commissioner Srinivasa Rao, Tahsildar Ramesh Babu and other officials were present.
