Belagavi: This is the first time an electricity facility has been provided to Dangarwadi residential area of the village Damane S Bailur village in Maharashtra border region.
As a result of the constant efforts of Lakshmi Hebbalkar, the Minister of Women and Child Development, who is also the Constituency MLA, solar and wind power facilities have been provided to the village. On Thursday, Energy Minister KJ George went to the village and inaugurated the electricity facility, bringing laughter to the people of the village.
Lakshmi Hebbalkar pointed out that this village does not have electricity even after independence. We immediately discussed with our officials and decided to serve the village with the opportunity we got and took action. Everyone can do great work. But the people here are in trouble. On this occasion, George said that this project was created because this small work can bring smiles to people's faces.
Besides this, the work of permanently electrifying the village will also be done as soon as possible. The Minister also assured that after obtaining permission from the Forest Department, work will be done to provide continuous electricity by laying the line.
Speaking on this occasion, Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar said that I had promised the villagers before the election. Accordingly, no matter how difficult it is, I have worked to give light to the village. I can't be happier than seeing a smile on your face, she said.
The people here have raised me very lovingly. So I am doing every work of people with care. Seeing the service of the people here, the people of neighboring Maharashtra are also saying that we should have such MLAs. I thank the people for their cooperation.
Hebbalkar also said that she would like to express her gratitude on behalf of the people of the village to the senior minister KJ George and all the officials who responded to my demand and provided electricity facility here.
Hubli Power Transmission Corporation Managing Director Mohammad Roshan, Chief Engineer Prakash, Local Gram Panchayat President and members were present.
