Lok Sabha Intruders Planned Breach Year Ago
Mysuru: In a startling revelation, it has been disclosed that the individuals responsible for breaching security at the Lok Sabha, namely Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan, meticulously planned the security breach one year ago during a meeting in Mysuru. The duo, along with Lalit Jha and two others, executed their plan on Wednesday, jumping from a visitor's gallery. The entire group now faces charges under the anti-terror Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA).
Officials from a central intelligence agency have visited the residence of D Manoranjan in Mysuru to question his family members in light of the security breach. Sagar Sharma, a key player in the intrusion, had reportedly visited Manoranjan's house on two separate occasions.
The accused, including Neelam Azad and Anmol Shinde, who participated in protests outside the Parliament, were also charged under UAPA. Lalit Jha, a Kolkata-based teacher, is identified as one of the main conspirators, with the police still on the lookout for a sixth suspect involved in the case. Authorities assert that the conspirators aimed to carry out an act that would capture the nation's attention.
The origins of the plot trace back to Mysuru, where Lalit Jha, Manoranjan, and Sagar Sharma held discussions and devised a plan to breach the Parliament. Manoranjan, an engineering graduate residing in Mysuru, played a pivotal role in executing the breach.
The investigation reveals that Manoranjan and Sagar Sharma obtained visitor passes to the Lok Sabha from BJP MP Pratap Simha's office in Mysuru. As the accused remain in Delhi Police custody, ongoing investigations are delving into the intricacies of the security breach. (eom)
