Nandyal: The Indian Air Force (IAF) will organize a special career awareness campaign in Nandyal on December 6 to educate youth regarding career opportunities in defense services, specifically under the Agniveervayu scheme and Airmen recruitment cadres.
District Collector G Rajakumari urged students and young job seekers aged between 16 and 22 years across the district to utilize the opportunity and participate in large numbers to explore options for serving the nation.
The announcement followed a coordination meeting at the Collectorate video conference hall on Thursday, where representatives Shekhar and Nidheesh from the IAF’s 12 Airmen Selection Centre met the Collector and submitted an official requisition seeking administrative backing for the event.
The IAF officers requested the district administration’s assistance in allocating a suitable venue, mobilizing college students from across Nandyal district, and executing extensive publicity campaigns to maximize reach.
They further requested full logistical support, including police security arrangements, standby medical teams, and fire safety services to ensure the seamless execution of the event.
Praising the initiative, Collector Rajakumari emphasized that the campaign would provide comprehensive information on eligibility criteria, physical standards, application processes, and career progression within the Air Force. She instructed officials from the education and youth welfare departments to coordinate closely with college management authorities to ensure maximum student attendance.
