Naadu-Nedu website shows incorrect data
The Andhra Pradesh government has been implementing Mana Badi - Naadu Nedu works in more than 15,000 schools throughout the State in the first phase on war-footing and fixed a deadline to complete this work by 31 July in four components such as drinking water facility, toilet construction, electrification of classrooms and major and minor works.
The revolving fund of 15 percent in the estimated cost has been credited in almost all the schools. But in some schools, though the revolving fund was not credited, the authorities are pressurising the headmasters to complete the works. Our school MPPS Rajupalem School in Markapur mandal of Prakasam district also is in the list of the first phase.
As per the online date of the programme, the revolving fund was credited in the account of our school on June 19. As the headmaster of the school, I began the works of the school in purchasing bricks, gravel, iron, electrical goods etc and issued cheques to all the sellers as per rules.
I was shocked to come to know from the sellers that the cheques were invalid as the account balance showed zero in bank statement. Till Wednesday, in the Naadu Nedu website it showed that the amount was credited to my account but in fact it is wrong.
Joint collector, District Educational Officer, Mandal Educational Officer and almost all higher authorities pressurised me mentally to complete the work and threatened that I would be suspended from my service if I did not do so.
Where is the problem in this issue? When I brought this issue to the notice of the authorities, the reply was that it would be solved. Today, the balance in my account shows zero.
I request the higher authorities not to force me to complete the work before deadline without crediting the amount in the parent committee account of our school.

BJP's criticism of TS over Covid-19 unfortunate
The infographic published in The Hans of India everyday showing data of Covid-19 incidences in various States indicates that the criticism of BJP Ministers and the party leadership on the spread of the virus in Telangana, particularly the GHMC area, is baseless and far from truth.
The situation in BJP-ruled States is equally bad or even worse. Friday's figures show that Gujarat has 28,943 cases; Uttar Pradesh 19,557; Madhya Pradesh 12,448 and Karnataka 10,118 positive cases.
States where the BJP is the Opposition are significantly better in containing Covid-19. Chhattisgarh has 2,418 positive cases; Kerala 3,603; Punjab 4,627; Bihar 8,209; AP 10,331 and Rajasthan 16,000.
These are all non-BJP ruled States. West Bengal and Telangana have two of the biggest cities Kolkata and Hyderabad, still cases are 15,173 and 11362 respectively.
Containment measures are in place is the inference. Delhi, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, having metro cities with high density of population have registered greater number of cases.
The BJP Ministers and party leaders making critical comments on non-BJP governments is a display of their hunger to encash on pandemic.
The Central government has to lead States in this critical hour, instead they are discouraging functioning governments.
