Abolition of Article 370 a historical move
The abrogation of Article 370 is a remarkable event in the history of our country.
The abrogation of Article 370 is a remarkable event in the history of our country. It has led to the birth of a new India that is entirely different from the India we have ever seen.
We haven't witnessed such a surge of patriotic drift among the people of India since independence. India has fought almost five wars with neighbouring countries since independence.
Almost all these wars might have caused the rising of patriotic fervour among Indians. But the abolition of Article 370 and the bifurcation of Kashmir into two Union Territories have resulted to witness an unprecedented wave of patriotic surge among the people of Indian subcontinent.
It has led to a new road that has destined to an enlightenment among millions of Indians.
Over the last seven decades, various political parties that governed India have obviously betrayed Indians convincing Kashmir issue as a hard nut to crack and reiterated that it has been always an unresolved issue intending to have an unscrupulous motive in order to gain power.
The sad and unpleasant thing is that most of the common people of India haven't had a real awareness about the details of Article 370 so far.
They have been also unaware of the unique features of providing dual citizenship and further special privileges for the permanent settlers of Kashmir. Many established political parties and the erstwhile governments deliberately concealed this from the public.
The Indian school curriculum have included the history of the great war of Indian Independence and the details of the two World Wars and even the details of the unification of Germany and Italy, but conveniently and skillfully avoided the details of the strange features of the Indian constitution, especially about this Article 370 and further the significance of unification of Indian subcontinent. It is certainly a betrayal, quite shameful, disgraceful and contemptuous.
Kashmir has been an apple of discord between India and Pakistan for years. Indians have been found in cloud nine when they heard the news of the scrapping of the Article 370 which entrusted special privileges for the people of Kashmir.
Indians have heaved a sigh of relief as soon as they heard the news of the abolition of the Article 370 and the recognition of the State into two Union Territories.
It is certainly a brave and bold decision of the Modi government and obviously deserve a medal of appreciation and accolades. This has turned over a new leaf in the history of Indian politics.
The peace-loving people across Kashmir and India welcomed this decision with open arms. At the same time, some of the conservative and orthodox political megalomaniacs are always trying to cast a slur on the goodwill of our country.
They are trying to beat about the bush intending to exploit the situation for evil and unfair purpose. They have been always trying to fish in the troubled water.
Kashmir is known as' the Paradise on Earth'. We cannot envisage an India without Kashmir. It has been a part and parcel of India since ages luring hundreds of thousands of tourists from every nook and corner of the world.
We do not want to witness a bloodbath in Kashmir. Both India and Pakistan will have to call a truce to avoid further bloodshed. The only and immediate remedy is to establish the Uniform Civil Code in India.
Let us work unitedly to build a new and undivided India that shelters people from all walks of life irrespective of cast, colour, religion and financial status.
