Varudu Kaavalenu Review& Rating {3/5}
Naga Shaurya who recently came up with an action thriller, 'Ashwathama' is now back with a romantic comedy entertainer titled 'Varudu Kaavalenu'. Ritu Varma played the female lead in this film. Directed by a debutante director Lakshmi Sowjanya, Surya Devara Naga Vandi under the Sithara entertainment banner bankrolled this project. The trailer of the film has already created a good impression on the audience and hinted that the film will be an engaging entertainer. Amid decent expectations, the film finally hit the theatres today on 29th October 2021. Let's check out the review of the movie.
Story:
Bhoomi (Ritu Varma) falls in love with her college mate Aakash (Naga Shaurya) when they were studying at Manipal Institute of Science and Technology. But Bhumi was afraid to express her feelings. The duo completes their studies and part their ways. Bhoomi transforms into an authoritative lady and also starts an architecture company in Hyderabad. After years without any communication, Aakash comes into her life again and the duo works together for a project. This time, Akash falls in love with her but hesitates to propose. What happens between them next forms the rest of the story.
Performances:
Naga Shaurya looked best in terms of his looks and dress sense in this film. His classy look is quite impressive. He delivered an honest performance with ease. Ritu Varma justified her character and is the best fit to her body language. Her impressive role as Bhoomi is a plus point for the flick. Nadiya and Murali Sharma played the parents of Bhoomi and impressed with their performances. Vennela Kishore, Praveen, Saptagiri's comedy is too good and will make the audience laugh. The rest of the actors made their presence felt.
Technical Aspects:
The film has a simple story set with a corporate backdrop and is laced with entertainment, romance and also action. In just 30 minutes into the film, the impressive dialogues written by a debutante writer Ganesh Ravuri will create a good impression. Despite being a Debutante, director Lakshmi Sowjanya scored good marks in her taking. Her narrative is impressive. Production values of Sithara entertainments are commendable. Music by Vishal C is good and the picturization is also good for a couple of songs. Cinematography by Vamsi is elegant and natural.
Verdict:
The entire first half doesn't have any big plot twists and goes on a lighter note. But things start to change in the second half and the entire flashback story is not that catchy and felt boring. Some scenes like the conversation between Murali Sharma and Nadiya are good. Saptagiri’s comedy is hilarious. Most of the comedy scenes worked out well. The second story felt kind of routine and the climax is also predictable. However, the film ends on a happy note. Overall, ‘Varudu Kaavalenu’ is a good watch for the family audience, regardless of all the drawbacks.
