Coolie No 1 Movie Review: A Typical David Dhawan Masala Entertainer

Coolie No 1 Movie Review and Rating: It is all known that Bollywood's ace director David Dhawan is all known for his typical masala entertainers. Adding a dash of comedy to the love drama's, he makes the audience go ROFL by tickling their ribs with ultimate punch dialogues. We have already witnessed the same in Govinda and Karisma Kapoor starrer 1995 blockbuster movie 'Coolie No. 1'. Now, after 15 years of that complete entertainer, David Dhawan has remade the movie with his son Varun Dhawan and picked glam doll Sara Ali Khan in the place of Karisma Kapoor.

Speaking about the plot, it all starts off with Raju (Varun Dhawan) who is a porter in railway station receives a contract from Javed Jaffri of wooing Sara Ali Khan and making her fall in love with him. Here starts off the drama and entertainment… Varun changes his complete look and turns into a business tycoon Raj to make Sara fall for him. As Paresh Rawal (Sara Ali Khan's father) wants his daughter to marry a millionaire, he makes Sara gets hitched to Raj. But Raj realizes his real love for Sara post-wedding and tries to tell her the truth but situations make him stay silent. When he reaches Mumbai with Sara, he once again makes her fall in his trap and says that his dad has kicked him out of his bungalow and shifts to a street-side house. But the drama starts off when Paresh Rawal comes to visit his daughter. He recognizes Varun at the railway station as coolie but once again Javed Jaffery manages the situation and says that Raj and Raju are twin brothers and one of them works in the railway station. Thus Paresh Rawal wants his second daughter to marry Raju as he is the twin brother of Raj.

Well, at the end the truth comes out but you need to watch the movie to know how will Paresh Rawal and Sara Ali Khan handle themselves after knowing the truth.

Speaking about the performances, Varun Dhawan is the lifeline of this story… He gave his best and made the audience enjoy this joy-filled hilarious ride with his perfect comedy timing. His love track with Sara Ali Khan is also awesome. From coolie to billionaire, his transformation took the movie a notch higher. Coming to Sara Ali Khan, she was all pretty and beautiful.

When we come to Paresh Rawal, he perfectly fits the bill with the character and will be seen worrying about his daughters. His dream to marry his daughters to billionaires lands him trouble. Finally, one of his daughters marries a coolie and other than gets hitched with a mechanic.

On the whole, Coolie No. 1 movie is a complete entertainer… Being crazy, joy-filled and rib-tickling one, this flick can turn into the best festive treat for all the movie buffs.
