Alludu Adhurs Movie Review & Rating

Alludu Adhurs Movie Review: Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas who has finally tasted success with the 'Rakshasudu' movie has now come up with a romantic comedy movie titled as 'Alludu Adhurs' under the direction of Santosh Srinivas. Nabha Natesh and Anu Emmanuel are playing the female leads in the movie. Though the movie was supposed to hit the theatres in April last year, the filming got halted because of the Covid-19 lockdown. The makers have now finally released the movie today on January 14th, 2021. Here is the review of the film.

Story:

Seenu (Bellamkonda Sreenivas) is a Hyderabad guy. He meets a village head from Nizamabad named Jayapal Reddy (Prakash Raj) who starts hating the idea of love after the death of his elder daughter Vasundhara (Anu Emmanuel). But, Seenu falls in love with Jayapal Reddy’s younger daughter Koumudi (Nabha Natesh). Can he convince Japayal and marry his daughter? Also, he has to defeat Gaja (Sonu Sood) who served 20 years in prison. What happens next forms the rest of the story.

Performances:

Bellamkonda Sreenivas has made a point that he can also be a good actor and his comedy timing is too good with this film. The way he has blended with the character and essayed it with ease is really appreciable. He is truly the show-stealer of the film. Nabha Natesh is an asset of the film. Her beautiful performance will engage the audience. Anu Emanuel also got an interesting role in the film and she has justified the role. It is evident that Sonu Sood has given his 100% in portraying his role. Prakash Raj has delivered best performance in the film. Monal looked stunning in the movie and will also impress with her dance moves. Vennela Kishore and Brahmaji have justified their roles. Sathya has delivered a decent performance in the movie. The rest of the actors also made their presence felt.

Technical Aspects:

Director Santosh Srinivas not only came up with an interesting storyline for the movie but also succeeded in executing it in a decent way. He has concentrated more on the entertainment factor in the film which will give a fun ride for the audience. Production values by Gorrela Subrahmanyam under Sumanth Movie Productions banner are very high. It is evident that the producers have not compromised in terms of quality. Music by Devi Sri Prasad is also really good. His BGM is quite impressive. Cinematographer Chota K. Naidu has produced some sleek visuals for the film and his camera angles are also really nice. Editing by Tammiraju is decent. The runtime is crisp.

Verdict:

Bellamkonda Sreenivas and Sonu Sood's performances are the major highlights of the film. Some interesting twists in the second half will make the audience get engaged. The first half is slow and just average. But, the film gains some momentum only in the second half. The storyline is very routine and doesn't have much to rave about apart from the entertainment. Overall, the story is a half-baked one. The film might not impress all sections of the audience. However, few people who go to the theatres without any expectations might like the film.
