Telangana Lok Sabha Election 2024 LIVE Updates
After a high decibel campaign, including by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and top leaders of Congress and BRS, the stage is now set for polling on Monday to elect 17 Lok Sabha members from Telangana and bypoll for the Secunderabad (Cantonment) Assembly seat.
The Election Commission has also made elaborate arrangements to conduct free and free and fair polls.

Police impose Sec 144, made security arrangements

Voters can use 13 identity cards to establish identity: Ronald Rose

Police is ready for conducting free and fair polls DGP
Director General of Police Ravi Gupta announced that the police have finalized all necessary arrangements ahead of the Lok Sabha polls scheduled for May 13 in the state.
Addressing the media, the DGP emphasized the implementation of stringent security measures to forestall any untoward incidents during the polling process.
A total of 73,414 police personnel have been mobilized across the state for election duties. This includes 500 members from the Telangana Special Force and 164 from the Central Armed Forces. Additionally, the services of 72,000 police personnel from within the state and neighbouring regions have been enlisted. To bolster security, 89 inter-state border check posts and 173 district check posts have been established. Read More

Stage set for LS poll: Over 3 crore to exercise their franchise across Telangana
Hyderabad: The stage is all set for Lok Sabha polling as more than 3 crore voters will exercise their franchise in Telangana’s 17 Lok Sabha constituencies. A total of 525 candidates are in the poll fray of these seats.
With poll timing beginning from 7 am till 6 pm, except in polling stations 13 Assembly segments in LWE (Left Wing Effected), where timing is fixed till 4 pm. The ‘mock polling’, as part of ensuring EVMs and VVPATs are proper functioning, begins at 5.30 across all the 35,809 pollings stations across Telangana in presence of polling agents, before polling begins. Also for Secunderabad Cantonment (SC) which is going for bypoll, the timing will be till 6 pm. A total of 1,05,019 Ballot Units and 44,569 Control units of EVMs are ready for polling. Read More
