Heavy traffic jam witnessed on Hyderabad-Vijaywada highway ahead of Sankranti festival. With the schools declaring holiday from today, people moving to their native places for the festival. Following the rush towards Andhra Pradesh from Telangana, vehicles have been lined up on the highway causing heavy traffic jam near Chityala. Meanwhile, the MGBS and JBS bus stands also witnessed heavy passenger rush. Vanama Raghavendra Rao aka Raghava who has been arrested in Palwancha family suicide case has been produced before Kothagudem magistrate on Saturday. After hearing the arguments, the court sent Raghava to 14-day judicial remand. The police later transferred him to Bhadrachalam subjail. Earlier, ASP Rohith Raj spoke to media and said that Raghava is named in 12 cases and has admitted to harassing Ramakrishna who committed suicide with his family. It is known the Raghava has been named as accused-2 in the family suicide case of Ramakrishna. He was arrested by the police on Friday night from Mandapalli and shifted to Kothagudem.Read more

Vanama Raghavendra Rao alias Raghava has admitted to threatening Ramakrishna that led him to commit suicide along with his family on January 3. "Ramakrishna poured petrol on his wife and two daughters and set them on fire before killing himself. While Ramakrishna, his wife Srilakshmi and Sahitya died on the spot and another daughter Sahithi succumbed to injuires a day later. Based on the complaint of Ramakrishna's brother-in-law Janardhan lodged a complaint with Palwancha police. A case under sections 302, 307, 306 of IPC was registered against Raghava," ASP said.Read more

The Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) 2022 likely to be conducted in the last week of June or first week of July. The noitification for the TS EAMCET 2022 may be released in March. At present, there is an uncertainty over the dates of TS EAMCET due to the COVID-19 situation.
