The Andhra Pradesh government has issued an ordinance increasing the retirement age of state government employees from 60 to 62 years. The decision will come into effect from January 1, 2022. TRS working president and minister KT Rama Rao said that the support of centre is needed for both the Telugu speaking states. Over 4 lakh people are found to have been suffering from mild symptoms of COVID-19 through the door-to-door fever survey in the first phase, conducted in some districts of Telangana.
