In a tragic incident, Mandangi Praveen Kumar (11), a fifth-grader at the Tribal Welfare Boys Ashram School in the remote area of the Sitampet mandal in Srikakulam district died of electrocution on Wednesday. A realtor and other persons were arrested by the police for killing two realtors on Tuesday at Ibrahimpatnam. The realtor who was arrested by the police was identified as Matta Reddy. The other arrested persons included Moinuddin, Naveen and others. As suspected by the police, Matta Reddy shot the two persons owing to previous enmity over land deals and financial issues. The government of Andhra Pradesh led by chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has received a huge blow from High Court on Thursday. A three-judge bench headed by Chief Justice of the High Court Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra delivered a key verdict on the cancellation of the three capitals, CRDA Act, and ordered the government to develop Amaravati as the capital and implement the master plan as it stands. The court said that the assembly does not have the power to make any laws on the capital and directed that the state government should act in accordance with the CRDA law. The court ordered that the developed plots be handed over to the farmers within three months.Read more

In a bizarre case, a woman stole valuable things from the employer's house and before making the former completely blind. The incident took place at Nacharam. According to the police, the woman, identified as P Bhargavi (32) is a native of Mancherial and was working as a caretaker for P Hemavathi (73) in Snehapuri Colony in Nacharam.
