The Amaravati Meteorological Department has forecast moderate rains in several parts of Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday due to the surface periodicity formed in the southwestern Bay of Bengal, which extends 3.1 km above sea level. The weather department said that the cold intensity in Andhra Pradesh has increased due to heavy rains over the last four to five days and asserted that Coastal Andhra and Yanam are likely to receive light to moderate rains on Tuesday.Read more

Telangana health minister Harish Rao on Tuesday wrote a letter to the Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya seeking precautionary dose for all above 18 years of age. He also urged the union health ministry to reduce the interval between the second dose and booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine from nine months to six months and the interval between second dose and precautionary dose for health care workers to three months.Read more

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has said that the government is once again gearing up for a better program through the YS Jagananna Saswata Bhu Hakku Bhu Raksha Scheme. Speaking at the inaugural event of registration‌ services on Tuesday, he said that for the first time in the country, a land survey has been completed in 51 villages in the first phase of a comprehensive land survey in a highly scientific manner. He said that the survey is expected to be completed by December 2022 in 11,501 villages.Read more

Guntur: Municipal Commissioner Challa Anuradha directed the secretaries of the ward secretariats to conduct Covid-19 tests on suspects and make them to stay homes till the result was announced. Vijayawada: To increase the vigil on the cybercrime and to check cyber criminals, the State police is gearing up to inaugurate cyber cells, Social media labs throughout the State. Keeping in view of the cybercrimes being reported in the State, the police department had taken the decision to strengthen the vigilance on cybercrimes and inaugurate the cyber cells and social media labs. These labs and cells will be equipped with advanced technology, software, computers and trained manpower. One Sub-inspector of police with B Tech qualification and five constables will be appointed to tackle the cybercrimes in each social media lab. Besides, training will be given to 20,000 police personnel in the State in the coming years.Read more
