Konijeti Rosaiah passes away Live Updates: Former Chief Minister of Undivided Andhra Pradesh Konijeti Rosaiah passed away on Saturday morning. It is learned that his pulse rate has been dropped at his home and was shifted to Star hospital where he breathed his last at 5.30 am today. He was 88 Born on July 4, 1933 in Vemuru of Guntur district, Rosaiah stepped into the legislative council in 1968 from the Congress party. He went on to continue as MLC until 1980.

Telangana government on Saturday declared three-day state mourning -- December 4,5,6 as a mark of respect to former Chief Minister of Undivided Andhra Pradesh Konijeti Rosaiah who passed away today. After his long journey serving as an MLA and MP, he was appointed as the Governor of Tamil Nadu in 2011.

For a short term, Rosaiah served as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh in 2009 after the death of the sitting Chief Minister YS Rajashekhara Reddy. He was also credited for his role in handling floods in October 2009. However, he resigned from the post in 2010 after citing his health condition.
