All set for the polling of Badvel and Huzurabad by-election today in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana respectively. The campaign was held vigorously in both the constituencies
All set for the polling of Badvel and Huzurabad by-election today in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana respectively. The campaign was held vigorously in both the constituencies and the day has come for polling where the authorities have made arrangements. The by election for both the constituencies has erupted with the death of sitting MLA in Badvel and while that of Huzurabad was necessitated with the resignation of Etela Rajender following the sacking him from the ministerial post. The polling will be held from 7am to 7pm. There is triangular fight between YSRCP, Congress and BJP in Badvel while in Huzurabad, the fight is between TRS and BJP.

Huzurabad is all set to record the highest voter turnout. At 5 pm, 76.26 per cent of voters have cast their vote. The previous record was 84.4 per cent recorded in 2018 Assembly polls. With the polling is to end at 7 pm, it’s predicted that the constituency would witness 90 per cent of voting.Meanwhile, the police seized three vehicles of BJP candidate Eatala Rajender’s convoy and took his PRO into custody at Marripalligudem under Kamalapur mandal.

Kadapa: The polling for Badvel reserved constituency which has started slow manner in the beginning, gradually picked up. It wS registered 20.89 poll percentage by 11Am. Voters appeared in a line with big numbers waiting for their turn. Oldaged people, disabled rushed to the polling centers for exercising their franchise. In 2019 elections it was registered around 74.25 percent. Officials expecting this might have increased to between 85 percent.

Kadapa: Tension prevailed in S. Venkatapuram village of Atluru mandal with the villagers detained some persons allegedly came from outside areas for casting fakets. the outsiders the some persons On this occassion both groups hurled Chapples each on them. Later villagers handed over the outsiders to the police.
BJP leader CM Ramesh alleged that YSR Congress party brought the outsiders from Rajampet, Kadapa, Sidhavatam, Mydukuru mandals. He pointed out that police are acting like YCP functionaries by extending support to the out siders for exercising fake franchise. He demanded the EC to conduct re polling in S. Venkatapuram village.
