Andhra Pradesh Elections 2024 LIVE Updates
After a high decibel campaign, including by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and top leaders of Congress and BRS, the stage is now set for polling on Monday to elect 175 Assembly and 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh.
The Election Commission has made elaborate arrangements to conduct free and free and fair polls. Prominent leaders including Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu, Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan, BJP state chief D Purandeswari and APCC president YS Sharmila are in the fray.
Hans India too has made arrangements for live updates of polls across the two states from Monday 9 am.

Long queue lines witnessed at polling booth at several places with the voters rushing to the polling centers since 6Am before one hour against original schedule 7Am. According to the sources polling procudures started 15 minutes late due to lack of coordination between officials working in the polling booths and agents. This was lead unrest among the voters especially oldaged people suffered like anything dud to lack of proper arrangements at polling booths.

Polling begins in Andhra Pradesh. Incidents of YSRCP activists attacking TDP polling agents with stones snd sticks in Rentichintala was reported. Some polling agents including a women were injured.
The injured were shifted to hospital. TDP and poll officials gave brought the incidents to the notice of ECI. TDP leaders said despite EC claiming that it had taken necessary measures it is unfortunate that such incidents had taken place. They demanded EC to deploy central forces.
