Well on this auspicious day, everyone needs to start off their day with the traditional 'Ugadi Pachadi'. There are many ways of making this recipe and according to regions the taste and ingredients keep changing but the essence of 6 tastes in one bowl will stay same all over.
We Hans India have come up with the easy and traditional recipe of Ugadi Pachadi… Have a look!
Ingredients Needed
• Mango pieces – 1 cup
• Tamarind extract – 1 cup
• Jaggery – ¼ cup
• Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
• Salt – As required
• Neem flowers – A few pieces
• Fruits like Banana, Pomegranate, etc...(optional)
• Fried Chana Dal – A few pieces
• Water – As required
Process
Firstly, take a bowl and add tamarind puree to it. Add enough water to it and then gradually add mango pieces, salt, jiggery, neem flowers, red chilli powder and fruits. Mix well until the jaggery gets dissolved. You can even add fruits and fried chana dal as per your wish.
That's it! The tasty and traditional 'Ugadi pachadi' is ready… Offer it to God and then have it to make your New Year begin the 6 tastes of your life.
