Andhra Pradesh and Telangana holidays list for October 2026
The schools in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will have a series of holidays in October with Gandhi Jayanti and Dasara in place.
Gandhi Jayanti is on Friday, October 2, and schools and other educational institutions in both states should close for the public holiday. The long weekend is expected since both days will be holidays and students in both states will have a holiday break.
Dasara holidays in Andhra Pradesh are expected to be from October 10 to 21 and schools are expected to resume classes on Thursday, October 22 with 15 days holidays including Sundays by which the schools will have 16 working days.
Moreover, Telangana schools will have Dasara and first term holidays from October 10 to 22. Combined with Gandhi Jayanti and Sundays, October 4 and 25, students are expected to have 16 holidays and 15 working days.
