IIMA opens admissions for executive programme in business finance
The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA), in collaboration with Jaro Education, has opened admissions for Batch 8 of its Executive Programme in Business Finance (EPBF-BL08), aimed at mid-level and senior executives seeking to strengthen their understanding of finance and prepare for roles involving profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities.
The programme is intended for professionals who have had limited exposure to finance but may take on greater financial responsibilities as they progress into leadership positions.
It combines finance concepts with broader management perspectives through a blended learning format comprising live virtual classes and campus-based learning.
The programme seeks to help participants understand how financial considerations influence business decisions while developing cross-functional management capabilities. The curriculum follows a business-oriented approach, placing the organisation and its wider business context at the centre of learning rather than focusing only on financial tools and techniques.
A case-based pedagogy is also incorporated into the programme to connect concepts with business situations and encourage practical application. Participants will additionally attend a campus module, providing opportunities for peer interaction, networking and engagement with the institute and faculty.
The programme will be delivered through live sessions directly to participants’ desktops, allowing professionals to continue their work commitments while pursuing the course. Admission will be based on profile evaluation. The Executive Programme in Business Finance is part of IIMA’s executive education offerings for working professionals. Established in 1961, IIM Ahmedabad offers programmes and academic initiatives across areas including management, finance, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, sustainability, entrepreneurship and public policy.
Programme details
• Mode: Blended learning through live virtual classrooms and campus sessions
• Eligibility: Graduates with a minimum of three years of work experience
• Duration: 6–7 months
• Selection: Profile evaluation
The programme is positioned for professionals looking to build a stronger understanding of business finance while developing the broader managerial perspective required for increasingly cross-functional leadership responsibilities.
