Bhavan's Gandhi Institute of Computer Education & Information Technology offers job oriented free computer courses for students, unemployed, youth, senior citizens and housewives belonging to the low- income group.
Gandhi Institute of Computer Education & Information Technology, Hyderabad Centre is the 14th free computer education centre started by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. This centre at Hyderabad started functioning from 4 September 2000. A state- of- the- art computer laboratory with the required hardware and software conforming to the latest configuration is available for training 480 students per year. So far 8466 students have completed the course at Hyderabad centre and 75th session is in progress now.
Eligibility: Minimum Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) passed from any State/ Central boards. Above 60 years of age for senior citizens.
Courses offered: MS-office 2010, Account Assistant course (Tally ERP 9), DTP (Adobe in design, Corel draw and Photoshop). The duration of the course is 3 months.
