Though declaration by NTA to conduct JEE Main twice a year has given some sigh of relief to many, yet the barriers to get into IIT's have become tougher. Apart from succeeding in JEE, aspirants are able to scale other scholastic competitive exams like KVPY, NTSE, scholarship tests and other National and International Olympiads. Many aspirants search for an answer to important question affecting their career "what is the right time to start preparing for JEE".
Already burdened with the school assignments and regular curriculum, students hardly get time to develop in-depth conceptual understanding, concept's application and analytical skills. To cut down the accumulated burden of preparing during the last stages of JEE that is during XII, it is recommended to start early to ease the pressure.
What is the right time to start preparing?
Though students should ideally start right from class VI to cultivate habit of learning and analysing as against memorizing but should also not wait until class XII to start their preparation journey. Hence starting preparation at least from class IX is recommended.
Availability of free time – In comparison to their seniors, IX std students have much more free time available, which can be used for raising I.Q., E.Q. and conceptual knowledge. This is the ideal time for the aspirants to get set for competitive race of prestigious JEE examinations and other scholastic examinations without affecting their school studies.

Parents, at this stage, not by pressurizing, but by helping and supporting them can mold their career better.
