5500 students of Delhi Public School, Mahendra Hills, Nadergul and Nacharam entered in Asia Book of Records and Indian book of Records for successful attempt by performing 7 Standing Yoga Asanas for 14 minutes to celebrate the International Yoga Day 2019 – Yoga for Heart, Peace & Harmony.
Hyderabad: 5500 students of Delhi Public School, Mahendra Hills, Nadergul and Nacharam entered in Asia Book of Records and Indian book of Records for successful attempt by performing 7 Standing Yoga Asanas for 14 minutes to celebrate the International Yoga Day 2019 – Yoga for Heart, Peace & Harmony. The certificate and award was presented by Dr Vasudha Rani from Asia Book of Records to Malka Komaraiah Chairman and Sunitha Rao Principal.
Delhi Public School, Nacharam celebrated The International Yoga Day amidst great zest, vibrancy, and elation on Thursday. Dr Dinakar Babu , Chairman and Managing Director – Sports Authority of Telangana State (SATA) was the chief guest of the day.
Sandhya Janak , a senior character artist in Tollywood and Dr Tejaswini Manogna , gifted prodigy, yoga exponent, honoured by the President and the Prime Minister were invited as Special Guests of Honour and Dr Vasudha Rani Adjudicator from Asia Book of Records. Malka Komaraiah, Chairman, Delhi Public School Nacharam, Mahendra Hills and Nadergul, Pallavi, Director and Sunitha Rao, Principal, flagged off the event .
The programme began by invoking God's blessings through a yogic prayer in Sanskrit. The students of classes 3 to 12 performed seven asanas and Surya Namaskar to the chanting of Omkara and the Shanti Path.
Different yoga postures like Tadasana, Vrikshasana, Uttaanaasana, Trikonaasana, Bhadrasana,,Bhujangasana, PawanaMuktaasana were performed by the students.It was a feast for the eyes to watch the students performing the yoga asanas with great enthusiasm, ease and profuse alacrity.
All yoga styles create a feeling of lightness, ease and relaxation. The mass yoga performed by the students of DPS, Nacharam gave them an entry in the Asia Book of world Records and also in Indian Book of Records for the largest number of students performing asanas in a single venue. The event then was followed by meditation which filled the whole campus with peace and positivity. It was a spectacular display of talent and fervour. The triumph was made possible by the relentless efforts of the principal Sunitha Rao.
