5000+ students in TS to benefit from the entrepreneurship program
Commissionerate of Collegiate and Technical Education signs MoU with TiE Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Commissionerate of Collegiate and Technical Education, Telangana and TiE Hyderabad have entered a very important MoU to impart TiE Grad Programme in institutions across the state of Telangana. This 3rd edition of TiE Grad Programme aims to introduce entrepreneurship to 5000+ students across 25+ colleges in different districts and Hyderabad City. The program is now open for registration and the finale will be held in January 2020.
Under this MoU Commissionerate of Collegiate Education and Department of Technical Education will nominate institutions to sign up for all the planned TiE Grad activities, viz. Design Thinking & Innovation bootcamps, Idea validation & Lean Canvas workshops, Business Management sessions, Biz plan competitions at inter-college, National & Global levels, Expos, Hackathons & Entrepreneurship Fests etc.
TiE Hyderabad's global award winning student entrepreneurship program, TiE Grad 2019-20 empowers students to understand the concepts of entrepreneurship and help convert their innovative ideas to feasible business models, but also supports colleges to build/scale a world-class Entrepreneurship Development Zones within their campuses through a structured program to coach and mentor students & orient faculty on innovation & Entrepreneurship.
Through this program each college benefits from mentoring by a business coach and an idea coach, who are practicing Entrepreneurs, for constant guidance and support to develop an entrepreneurial mindset in aspiring students.
The MoU was exchanged between Commissionerate of Collegiate Education signed by Dr. C Manjulatha, Joint Director & Phani Pattamatta, Executive Director, of TiE Hyderabad on Thursday evening.
The MoU for Commissionerate of Technical Education was also exchanged between PV Raghu, Regional Joint Director, TE/OSD O/o CTE, Government of Telangana & Phani Pattamatta, Executive Director, TiE Hyderabad in the presence of Navin Mittal, Commissioner for Collegiate Education & Technical Education, Government of Telangana & Subbaraju Pericherla, Board Member TiE Hyderabad, Director - KLCP Holdings & Founder CrossBorders.
On this occasion of exchanging the MoU Exchange, Navin Mittal, IAS(Commissioner for Collegiate & Technical Education, Govt of Telangana) said "It is very fulfilling to partner with this well-established, globally reputed TiE Grad program which will immensely benefit our Telangana students with an entrepreneurial mindset and nurture the next-generation startups from our state." In his statement Suresh Reddy, President of TiE Hyderabad said "It is important to create and foster an entrepreneurial mindset in India's students, partnership with Government is a great step to provide access to millions of students – to meet, engage, interact with successful entrepreneurs and nurture their entrepreneurship dream early in their life. We already have great traction for this program, and we hope colleges in Telangana and their students will leverage this opportunity fully."
Subbaraju Pericherla (Board Member, TiE Hyderabad) said The MoU is a great validation to TiE Grad Program and is a big step forward to encourage the students in the state to get the exposure to the global landscape of entrepreneurship. We will work closely with the Commissionerate to realize its long-term objectives for the student development."
On the process to register for the TiE Grad program, Phani Pattamatta (Executive Director, TiE Hyderabad) said institutions are actively signing up to the TiE Grad Program conducted by TiE Hyderabad. Besides help to enter a business plan competition, TiE Hyderabad also provides access to mentors to guide students through the process, and support them at every stage of their business plan through year-long programs, viz. Idea Boot camps, Startup School, Immersive Learning workshops, Nominations to National & International Business Plan competitions, Hackathon Challenges and other initiatives.
