Tech fest siNUsoid v9: A three-day celebration of innovation and future tech ends on grand note

NIIT University (NU) concluded the ninth edition of annual techno-cultural festival, Tech Fest siNUsoid v9: Virtual Vortex, over three days, the campus transformed into a vibrant ecosystem of technology, creativity and student-led innovation, drawing record footfall and participation from institutions across the country.
The event was inaugurated in the presence of SP Kotlutli-Behror, Devendra Kumar Bishnoi, who praised the students’ ingenuity and technical capabilities. He noted that platforms like siNUsoid play a crucial role in nurturing young innovators and shaping future-ready talent.
Since its inception, Tech Fest siNUsoid has grown from a lively cultural gathering into a defining part of NU’s identity — a space where interdisciplinary thinking and hands-on learning converge. This year’s theme, Virtual Vortex, captured the growing interplay between physical and virtual worlds. The fest showcased how technology is reimagining entertainment, design, research, problem-solving and student expression.
Across the campus, students presented projects spanning robotics, artificial intelligence, automation, biotechnology, gaming, design and entrepreneurship. AI-powered creative exhibitions, digitally engineered performance arts, and interactive tech installations demonstrated NU’s commitment to experiential, technology-driven education.
The fest’s expanding national footprint was evident with participation from BITS Pilani, Amity University, BML Munjal University, ITM Gwalior, Dronacharya College, Raffles University and Modi University. This diverse representation underscored the fest’s position as a collaborative and competitive platform for young technologists.
Tech Fest siNUsoid v9 also witnessed significant industry engagement, with partnerships from BMW Motorrad, ASUS, EaseMyTrip, Red Bull, Amul, Portronics, Trends, MetaNova Esports, MetaSpace, Free Press Journal and others. Their presence reflected growing industry confidence in NU’s student-led innovation ecosystem and the relevance of the fest’s emerging ideas.
Speaking on the occasion, NIIT University President, Prof. Prakash Gopalan, said, this edition demonstrated how students think beyond boundaries and use technology not just as tools, but as enablers of impact and future innovation.” He added that the scale and diversity of participation this year highlight the national recognition the fest has earned.
The three-day festival featured a mix of new and established competitions that blended technology, creativity and problem-solving. Among the newly introduced events were Lift Off, a student-led rocket launch competition; Lab Race, a biotech challenge testing precision and lab skills; Predictive Precision, an AI–ML data analysis event; and Codsole XP, a game development contest.
Crowd favourites returned as well, including Murder Mystery, Capture the Flag (a cybersecurity challenge), Startup Summit (a business pitch competition), Robo Rush (a high-speed robotics race) and Robo Soccer (robotic soccer matches). Together, these events offered a dynamic blend of technical rigor, strategic gameplay and creativity.
