LFW’s ‘Gen Next on the Road’ collection is available at Elahe Urban store in Hyderabad

Lakmé Fashion Week launched the second edition of Gen Next on The Road – a platform that gave winners of Lakmé Fashion Week Gen Next program,the opportunity to showcase their collection in leading multi-designer storesfor two days, across the country. These designers debuted at the Summer/Resort 2019 edition.

The first leg of the four-city tour commencedat AZA in Delhi followed by AURA in Raipur, URBAN in Hyderabad and ended at AMETHYST in Chennai

The stores had a dedicated section to showcase collections of upcoming GEN Next designers Amrapali Singh, Madhumita Nath, SunainaKhera and UjjwalaBhadu.

'Birdwalk' by Amrapali Singh presented "Queen of Hearts", a playful and comfort first collection inspired by a pack of cards. Ek Katha by 'Madhumita Nath'showcased "Bliss" a collection of relaxed, laidback and bohemian silhouettes that explore the textures and patterns of woven textiles.

SunainaKhera brought together the feelings of mind, body and spirit that revolve around grief with "A Long Way Home" – where each garment is symbolic of an emotion. Lastly, UjjwalaBhadu put forth a vibrant collection, a fusion of cultures and crafts that culminated into statement wearable pieces with a focus on knitwear.

The Gen Next Designer Programme at LFW has given the Indian fashion industry some of its biggest designers like Rahul Mishra, Masaba Gupta, Aneeth Arora and many more.

Every season, the Gen Next designer selection is done by the LFW Advisory Board after which each handpicked Gen Next designer goes through a 2-month training programme with the LFW Gen Next designer programme mentor, Sabina Chopra.
