Uniquely Asian in flavours & ingredients
Zega, the Pan Asian speciality restaurant, at Sheraton Hyderabad Hotel has had a flavour edge with the Tangra cuisine by Chef Ho Chi Ming.
The Manchurian, the tangy sweet sauces, the spicy chicken wings flavoured with green chillies vied for space with speciality rest of Asian food.
The new menu recently launched goes back deeper into Japan, China, Thailand, Mongolia, and other Asian cuisines bringing in more of the sushis, dimsums, satays, etc, making it more diverse and flavour filled.
Take for instance the dumplings that had some of the most interesting filling, distinctly Asian veggies and well-made meats making for a tasty menu - boiled edamame bean and water chestnut filling done in truffle oil, sticky rice and minced pork balls, four mushroom haricot asparagus, bok choi, napa cabbage and roasted garlic.
The small plates – starter menu is spicy, robust in flavours and addictive in taste adapting a bit from each region of Asia and there is Tangra style chicken too on the Indo-Chinese section.
Crispy Lotus Stem with Orange and Chilli Jam, Thai Style Spring Roll, Coriander, sesame, peanut flavoured lamb chops, Taipei chicken, crispy corn kernels served with coriander and ginger are a must try from the tempting menu
What is Asian food without fresh veggies and amazing seafood and meat cuts? The diversity is well represented and how.
The Korean Steam Boat, Crab and Asparagus soup, Minced Tenderloin West Lakes Broth and on the main course Wok Tossed Lobster cooked with black pepper, sliced chilli and scallions, Massaman Lamb Curry with peanuts and potato, Crispy fish did in garlic, chilli and pineapple sauce, Thai style fried rice with cashew and pineapple served with green curry, Chiang Mai Red Curry made with zucchini, potato, tofu and mushroom.
The new addition to homemade ice creams on the desserts – Almond-Orange Flan, Crunchy Chocolate Cremeux, and Peanut Butter and Sesame Straddle enhance the unique flavours and character the ingredients bring to Asian cuisine.
Lastly, and the best addition to the new menu is the sushi, rolled to perfection using the right balance of ingredients – Sashimi, Uramaki, Maki, Nigiri made using salmon, tuna, prawn, crab meat, avocado, mushrooms, crispy, pickled veggies, tempura – sumptuous spread that will leave your taste buds wanting more.
