It's time to savour seafood!

Picture this, you walk into a well-illuminated poolside with live counters serving the choicest of seafood from different coastal cuisines from across the country. Yes, it is surely a dream haven for seafood aficionados. Okra, the flagship restaurant of Hyderabad Marriott Hotel, is conducting a seafood promotion 'Coasts of India'. The dinner-only food fest is on until April 27 at Okra. There are six live counters representing six coastal regions from Udupi to Konkani, and from Utkal to Andhra. One can relish the veg, non-veg, and seafood delicacies from all coasts. An à la carte menu with select seafood dishes is also available. One can relish clams, prawns, crabs and lobsters, which are made in the different style of preparation from the regions and they come in curry and dry options as well.

The place boasts of picture-perfect ambience set with tall palms, boats, coconuts, a gossamer fishnet overhead with fairy lights and the pleasant live music takes the whole experience a notch up.

The bar at the food promotion is equally interesting and tantalising. Cocktails like Naarangi Tharra, made with citrus and berry mix with gin and tonic; Ocean Cooler, which has orange and mint topped wheat beer; Southern Spice, spiced gin and tonic; Twisted Sol Kadi, the Konkani Kokum drink, are refreshing and breezy.

The must try at the promotion are Chepala pulusu (Mackrel fish curry) from Andhra; Chuno maachher chorchori (Indian anchovies in spicy mustard gravy) from Utkal; Meen polichatu (Banana leaf wrapped marinated fish) Meen mappas (Malabar style fish curry cooked in coconut milk) from Malabar; Prawn balchao (Goan dish packed with aromatic flavours) from Konkan and Kane rava fry (Fish marinated in red chilli paste and coated with semolina then fried) from Udipi. Apart from the plethora of fishes and refreshing drinks along with lilting live music the place is to bond over good food.
