Amit Trivedi recently performed in the 'OnePlus Music Festival' in Mumbai. Ahead of the performance, which was on November 16, he speaks about the event, stint in the music world and more…
Excerpts from an interview:
What are your expectations from OnePlus Music Festival?
The OnePlus Music Festival will see artists from different genres, different walks of life come together and create a musical experience which is an amazing thing. For the first time, people who play different genres of music will be performing together and sharing the same stage. I have seen Katy Perry perform and she is phenomenal, so I am definitely very excited and am really looking forward to this event.
Are you planning to roll out any new track in the event?
Interesting idea, maybe I'll think about it.
What do you enjoy most about being a musician?
The idea of creating something from nothing to a full-blown good piece of sound and music makes the process so magical and beautiful.
What are three things you look for when you see an artist play live?
I'm not looking for anything specific. Just to enjoy the performance and have fun. Maybe even be inspired by it.
If you didn't become a musician what would you be doing right now?
Never thought about it. Maybe sports.
Which is the best song you have ever released and why?
Can't pick one, all are my favourite.
What kind of music do you listen to today?
It depends on my mood and varies from artist to artist, but I listen to every kind of music out there.
What is your favourite song to belt out at the bar/in the car/for karaoke?
Any of the retro classics from the 60s and 70s.
What are your future projects?
I have a few projects I am working on. But too soon to talk about it.
